directories – perfect binding is the professional finish of choice.
Unlike many printers, who must use outside vendors for this service,
Sumi has excellent perfect binding capabilities in-house. With running
speeds up to 10 meters/hour, we give you the quality you want with the
turnaround you need. In addition to traditional perfect binding, we offer two unique techniques with increased binding strength for specific project needs: • Notch binding, is used with heavier text weight coated stock (70 pounds and up). Its advantage is that it provides maximum binding strength • Layflat binding is the ultimate finished book look for items cookbooks, price books, computer manuals, etc. Sumi is one of the only printers to provide digital book binding that features true turned-edge hardcover edition binding from as few as 2 sheets all the way up to 80mm.
